Meet Ashley

Ashley Ahearn is an award-winning journalist who has covered natural resources and science for NPR and member stations for almost two decades. Her work has aired on the BBC, Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Marketplace, Science Friday and others. She has produced 4 successful podcast series for NPR in collaboration with Boise State Public Radio. Ashley lives in rural Washington state with her husband and dog where she herds cows for local ranchers and trains mustangs.

Really struggling to write the final episode of this podcast. Half the remaining #sagegrouse in WA are likely scorched. I haven’t been able to really be outside in days and I can barely see down the hill. Writer’s block never felt so hazy
